Talk Media Conference Promises Lively "Discourse In The Desert" |
SCOTTSDALE, AZ - February 18, 2008: An all-star lineup of Talk media executives and industry luminaries are convening to address the current and emerging trends and issues at Al Peterson's Talk Media Conference, February 20-22, 2008 at the exclusive Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale/Phoenix.
The Talk Media Conference kicks off on Wednesday, February 20 with a 3:30pm keynote presentation by the legendary Paul Harvey, Jr., followed by the Opening Night Cocktail Party at 5:00pm on the Resort's beautiful Cypress Court, sponsored by Jones Radio Networks, where you can catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Next up on Thursday is nationally syndicated talker Dave Ramsey, who will give a motivating presentation called, "The Momentum Theorum." This session will cover:

- Why the tortoise always beats the hare
- Strategies to help you learn to never, never give up
Thursday's luncheon, hosted by WestStar Talk Radio Network, features special guest Kim Komando from The Kim Komando Show with what promises to be a fun event focused on new technology as it relates to Talk media.
The afternoon of February 21 offers brand strategists Fran & Bill Lytle of Brand Champs in an important session called, "How To Stand Out In A Crowd." This presentation will cover:
- Why brands, like people, are living, breathing entities
- Using behavioral insights of your audience to develop brand tools
- The motivating "touchpoints" for stations and hosts
- Actionable tools to stand out in an increasingly crowded media world.
At 3:15pm, following Fran & Bill Lytle, is McVay Media's News/Talk specialist Holland Cooke, who will cover "The Internet: NOT Radio's Future" with special guests Ken Kohl, President of Acquaint Media in San Francisco, and Paul Gleiser, owner/GM of KTBB/Tyler, TX.
